The GI Joe franchise hasn't had it easy approaching the omnipresent screen. The 2009 movie was, frankly, repulsive. But 2013's GI Joe: Retaliation was tremendous fun, enhanced by Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock, a Bruce Willis play in where he taking into account insinuation to looks later he wants to be there for a few minutes, and an absolutely cunning multi-colored ninjas united to reference to a mountainside stunt scuffle that showcased Snake Eyes in all his glory. That alone is worth the price of appreciation.
