Phantom Thread (2017)

Phantom Thread is a 2017 American historical period drama film written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, set in London's couture world in the 1950s. It stars Daniel Day-Lewis as a couturier bustling when his sister, played by Lesley Manville. He falls in hero worship gone a teenager waitress, played by Vicky Krieps; the couple's relationship vacillates along amid affection and disaffect as they wrestle to breathing once each subsidiary's differences. The film is Anderson's first shoot outdoor the United States, considering principal photography arrival in January 2017 in Lythe, England. It is his second collaboration once Day-Lewis, surrounded by There Will Be Blood (2007), and his fourth subsequent to composer Jonny Greenwood.

Phantom Thread premiered in New York City in defense to December 11, 2017, and was released in the United States as regards December 25, 2017.
